Sport to encourage inclusion at Bürgerstiftung Stuttgart’s Education Campus
The GFCF is inviting applications for its grants and learning programme supporting the work of European community philanthropy organizations working on migration, refugees and inclusion in their communities.
A number of grants have already been made through this programme – please see below a list of grant recipients, and read more about the programme’s geographic restrictions in the grant guidelines. Initial work has included a range of “soft” integration activities – including local events, culinary activities, volunteering programmes, music festivals, etc. Grants have also focused on engaging volunteers around the long-term integration of refugees. Several organizations have also explored local resource mobilization strategies to encourage more local support for the issue. A face-to-face meeting of the cohort, held in Messina, Italy in October 2017 began to distill learnings from the work and to understand how European community philanthropy organizations are responding to issues around migration and inclusion.
To learn more about the programme, and how your organization can get involved, please contact Wendy Richardson (wendy@globalfundcf.org) at the GFCF to express your interest by 20 April 2018. The grant guidelines are available here.
