UK’s Big Lottery Fund staff member seconded to GFCF

13 Jun 2016

Adam Lang joined the GFCF as from 1 June 2016 as Programmes and Learning Associate for a nine month period. Adam will be working initially on a part-time basis from London, and then full-time from Johannesburg later in the year.

In the UK, the Big Lottery Fund, distributes 40% of the money raised by the UK National Lottery for investment in local communities. In 2015 the Big Lottery Fund launched a new Strategic Framework (2015 – 2021), People in the Lead, which emphasizes the importance of local ideas, skills and other assets in driving successful development. The purpose of the secondment is to share learning and experiences between the Big Lottery Fund’s UK work to strengthen people-led development and the GFCF’s work to support community philanthropy development worldwide.
