Join this Zoom event on Tuesday 7 March to reflect on and discuss the theme of localization in the Sahel.

In this webinar, we look beyond international aid as a primary driver of the localization agenda. Instead, we focus on how people in crises are supported by communities and individuals in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger. Building on two recent reports about aid in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, we ask how local humanitarian action can influence the localization agenda and future visions for humanitarian action.

Pour ce webinaire, nous ne nous limiterons pas à l’aide internationale comme moteur principal de l’agenda de localisation, mais nous nous intéresserons à l’appui que les communautés et les individus au Burkina Faso, au Mali et au Niger portent aux personnes en situation de crise. Nous prendrons appui sur deux rapports récents sur l’assistance humanitaire au Burkina Faso, au Mali et au Niger, pour nous interroger sur la manière dont l’action humanitaire locale/endogène peut influencer l’agenda de localisation et les visions futures de l’action humanitaire.

La traduction des échanges sera assurée du français vers l’anglais et de l’anglais vers le français.
