Upcoming online conference “Citizen capital: Solutions from within”
23 May 2025
Join us on 12 June to hear how communities in Ukraine are moving beyond aid and co-governing shared resources!
This online conference is hosted by the Moloda Gromada Foundation in Ukraine, with the support of the GFCF. It is a follow-up to the 2023 conference — “The use of (crypto) tokens in the conditions of war and its consequences: Advantages and proven benefits for local communities” — which attracted the interest of participants from 17 countries across five continents.
This year, the conference will be focused on the Community Resilience Foundation — an innovative model that helps communities move beyond aid and co-govern shared resources, even amidst disruption and war. This Pioneers Post article outlines the story and the innovative approach that inspired this conference.
The conference will be split into two sessions: the main session (12h — 13h UTC), followed by an open dialogue session (13h — 14h UTC). You can select to join either session, or both, via this registration form.
🕛Main session (12h — 13h UTC)
Presentation of the Community Resilience Foundation — an innovative model built within the broader Citizen Token System. We will hear about a community in Western Ukraine, and learn about its experience with the Community Resilience Foundation. Over the first 16 months alone, the initial funding of 100,000 UAH (~ $2,500 USD) from the GFCF catalyzed more than 1.26 million UAH in added value, spanning 22 initiatives that involved over 400 participants. And this impact continues to grow as the model matures — with updated results to be shared during the session.
🕑Open dialogue session (13h — 14h UTC)
The session will invite clarifying questions about the case study presented in the first hour. It will offer a space for open discussion with invited contributors — exploring related questions and directions for further development, including the broader logic of community-led solutions and access to new opportunities and pathways outside Ukraine.
The conference will be held in English and Ukrainian, with simultaneous translation.
