How Social Change Happens – Join a conversation with the 2023/4 #ShiftThePower Fellows

20 Fellows and twelve months later, we bring you the official “look-back” at the 2023/4 #ShiftThePower Fellowship. The Fellows were selected from a pool of over 1,400 applications and came from 13 countries. In addition to connecting with like-minded peers from around the world from different parts of the philanthropy and development system, Fellows had the opportunity to discuss a range of topics related to the #ShiftThePower movement and systems change more generally. In addition, they undertook deeper explorations of specific topics of interest to them.
In the closing webinar of the 2023 #ShiftThePower Fellowship, six Fellows will share their reflections and learnings on the following topics.
Morning session:
- Regenerative activism and collective care (Poland)
- Locally-led measurement systems (Philippines)
- What movement building looks like among marginalized groups (East Africa)
Afternoon session:
- Community engagement strategies (Brazil)
- Advocacy for enabling frameworks for community philanthropy (Zimbabwe)
- Alternative organizational structures and architecture (Colombia)
